From The Dungeon With Love. #001

....I had reached a point in time where i found myself meticulously weaving the fibers of this universe. I wanted to dig as deep as I could to extend everything people loved in my work, and making it more accessible, exploring my writing has helped me understand just how all this works. Empyrean led me to a deeper connection with my artistic process, as i began to understand how the novels could very well be the most important part of the universe. As the conduit to truly understanding not only the work, but the feeling beneath the vain surface of high-end fashion. 

     Fashion was so exciting to me at one point. The novice of a starving artist forces him to find pleasure in the pains of designing out of a place of struggle. the scraps, the freestyles, the strikes of a subconscious mind. I think once you get into it, you start to see how every part of this industry is designed to remove that joy. Realizing what this book meant to me, helped me understand I had to expand my thinking, connecting with my supporters was always tough because you could tell they appreciated the work, but they either couldn't see it on themselves, or it wasn't the right size. Whatever the case might have been I made it my mission to work on the "lowercase" version of what Champloo has served as the "uppercase". 

   

     SilkyWay was that big bang. The book has given us so much new original artwork that I felt I could turn it into something that also felt as vivid and original as its couture predecessor. Ultimately, it had to be accessible to everyone because it's important that I start building something that every person can enjoy. Collection one is an opportunity for us to grow a community that can help build a solid foundation while also exploring different ready-to-wear methods. The first drop is available now!
